INE-CSC participates in a multidisciplinary event on Breast Cancer

The Psychology Department of CITY College, University of York Europe Campus organised a multidisciplinary event on ‘Breast Cancer: Manage and LIVE’, led by Dr Aristea Ladas, that took place on 24th November 2023 at the college’s main campus in Thessaloniki, Greece.

Attendees gained valuable knowledge about the disease from various perspectives, including psychological, medical, personal, awareness campaigns, yoga and pilates, aesthetic treatment, and medical tattooing. Dr. Ladas also presented the ongoing work of our COST Action CA21152, whose main aim is to systematically support the sustained translation of evidence-based cancer survivorship interventions into routine clinical practice, to ultimately enhance the health and wellbeing of cancer survivors.

The audience was deeply moved by cancer survivors who shared their inspiring stories with humour and strength. All speakers emphasised the significance of positive psychology in the healing process.
